Hi! I'm Alicia Serling, a San Diego-based artist holding an MFA from Otis and a BFA from MICA. While I exhibit my interdisciplinary fine art across the US, Whimsy & Woe is my dedicated, unapologetic passion project built entirely around my love for tabletop RPGs, board games, and speculative fiction.
Growing up on Tolkien, Frank Herbert, and Anne Rice, fantasy world-building has always quietly driven my aesthetic. After falling completely down the Dungeons & Dragons rabbit hole (fueled by over 3,000 hours logged in Baldur’s Gate 3), I created Whimsy & Woe as a space where classical artistic training meets the Sword Coast.
Everything here is crafted for the community. From dark, illustrated Underdark monsters and classical potion still-lifes to custom, hand-painted D&D miniatures, this is where handmade and high fantasy live together.
